Upstate New York's Largest Solar Carport
GE’s Schenectady campus’ new 2.26 solar installation consisting of 6,800 solar modules is expected to save the campus approximately $1.5 million in energy costs.
The installation will provide a positive environmental impact, helping New York make progress toward its goal to generate 50 percent of its electricity from renewable resources by 2030.
Factory Pipe Offsets 75% Energy Use with Solar Solutions
Factory Pipe, a manufacturer of high-performance exhaust systems, is collaborating with Current, powered by GE, to make its Ukiah, California headquarters more efficient. The company is offsetting 75 percent of its energy use through Current’s rooftop solar offering and saving close to 60 percent in lighting-related energy use with an LED lighting retrofit in its manufacturing warehouse.
